Why Agri-Drones?

Agri-drones revolutionize farming by increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and minimizing manual labor. They help farmers with tasks like pesticide spraying, crop health monitoring (NDVI), sowing, and yield estimation. With GPS-based precision and real-time data, Agri-Drones enable smarter, faster, and more sustainable farming practices —leading to better productivity and resource management.

What is RPTO?

RPTO stands for Remote Pilot Training Organization. It is an institute approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to offer certified training courses for drone pilots. AVI DRONES, as a DGCA-authorized RPTO, provides hands-on training and theoretical knowledge needed to fly drones legally and safely in Indian airspace. Upon successful completion, participants receive a Remote Pilot Certificate, which is mandatory for flying drones in INDIA.

Who is DGCA and why do they exist?

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is the regulatory body under the Government of India that oversees civil aviation. In the drone ecosystem, DGCA sets the rules, safety protocols, airspace classifications, and licensing frameworks for drone operations. They exist to ensure:

  • Safe integration of drones into Indian airspace

  • Training and certification of drone pilots through RPTOs

  • Airworthiness of drones and accountability of operators

  • Prevention of unauthorized or unsafe drone activity

Why is a Drone Pilot License important in India

Drone Pilot License (Remote Pilot Certificate) is mandatory for flying drones above 250 grams for commercial or non-recreational purposes, as per Drone Rules 2021. It ensures legal compliance, safe operations, and access to flight permissions.

What happens if I fly a drone without a License?

Operating without a license can lead to fines, drone confiscation, or even imprisonment. You also risk not getting permissions for flights, lack of insurance, and missed business opportunities.
